Psychotherapy

The science of clinical psychology informs our practice in many ways. We utilize evidence-based techniques, meaning our methods are grounded in rigorous research and have demonstrated efficacy in addressing specific mental health challenges. This scientific foundation allows our therapists to understand the complexities of mental health, accurately assess your needs, and develop a tailored treatment plan that aligns with your specific goals.

At the same time, we also recognize that therapy is much more than just applying scientific principles. It's an art. It's about creating a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental space where you can feel comfortable exploring your thoughts, feelings, and experiences. Our therapists are skilled in the art of building genuine connections with their clients, fostering trust, and understanding the unique nuances of each individual's story. We believe that profound healing can come from the therapeutic relationship itself – a relationship built on empathy, compassion, and deep listening.

Psychiatric Medication Management

Our psychiatric medication management process begins with a comprehensive diagnostic assessment to understand your symptoms, medical history, and lifestyle goals. If a medication is prescribed, your provider will explain the expected benefits, potential side effects, and how the drug interacts with the brain's neurochemistry.

During regular follow-up appointments, and through asynchronous secure messaging, your psychiatrist will monitor your response to treatment, tracking improvements in mood or behavior while adjusting dosages or switching medications as needed to optimize efficacy and minimize adverse effects.

We believe that psychiatric medication management should be a holistic process that focuses on other biological variables, such as sleep and diet (as appropriate). Our psychiatrists also collaborate with therapists as needed, to ensure the pharmacological treatment integrates effectively with psychological interventions to help the individual achieve long-term mental health and wellness.

Psychological Testing & Assessment

Psychological testing and assessment services are a specialized branch of mental health care conducted by a clinical psychologist and designed to provide a comprehensive and objective understanding of a person’s cognitive, emotional, and behavioral functioning.

Much like a medical doctor uses blood tests or X-rays to identify physical ailments, a psychologist uses these assessments to uncover the underlying causes of a person's struggles, whether they involve academic difficulties, emotional distress, or personality challenges. The process typically begins with the psychologist conducting an interview to understand an individual's history and specific concerns, followed by a battery of standardized psychological tests that might include questionnaires, problem-solving tasks, or direct behavioral observations. These tools are scientifically validated to ensure that results are reliable and can be compared against normative data from people of similar ages and backgrounds.

By integrating data from multiple sources, these services go beyond simple symptom checklists to offer a deep dive into an individual's unique psychological profile. This holistic approach is essential for clarifying complex diagnoses—such as differentiating between ADHD, anxiety, or a learning disability—and for identifying a person's inherent strengths alongside their areas of vulnerability. Once the data is analyzed, the psychologist creates a detailed report that outlines practical recommendations for treatment, educational accommodations, or workplace strategies.

Psychologist testing & assessment services empower individuals and their families by replacing uncertainty with a clear, evidence-based roadmap for personal growth and improved mental well-being.
